From September 21 to 26, 2026<\/strong>, Lovere will once again host CortoLovere<\/strong>, the film festival that is celebrating its 28th edition<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n

For six days, the village on Lake Iseo becomes a hub where cinema, culture, and the local area come together, featuring film screenings, short films, and meetings with filmmakers and guests from the Italian film scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is also a special event for those who choose to stay in Lovere during this time and want to discover the town through its events and cultural life.<\/p>\n

The CortoLovere 2026 Program<\/h2>\n

The event kicks off on Monday, September 21<\/strong>, at the Villa Milesi Auditorium with Paolo Virz\u00ec<\/strong>‘s *Caterina va in citt\u00e0<\/em> *.<\/p>\n

The retrospective dedicated to the director continues in the coming days with *La prima cosa bella*<\/em>, *Il capitale umano<\/em> *, and *La pazza gioia<\/em>*.<\/p>\n

Also scheduled for Thursday, September 24<\/strong>, is a screening of *Fists in My Pockets*<\/em> (1965), with Paola Pitagora<\/strong> in attendance.<\/p>\n

On Friday, September 25, the festival moves to the Crystal Theater<\/strong>, where the finalist short films will be screened at 8:30 p.m., and the audience will have the opportunity to vote for the People\u2019s Choice Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Final Night<\/h2>\n

The final day, Saturday, September 26<\/strong>, will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Mondadori Bookstore with a discussion featuring Gianni Canova<\/strong>, dedicated to the presentation of the book *Un popolo di Ombre: Manifesto for the Liberation of Film Characters*.<\/em><\/p>\n

At 9:00 p.m., the Crystal Theater will host the gala and the awards ceremony for the winning short films<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the evening , Paola Pitagora, \u201cSignora del Lago 2026<\/strong>,\u201d will also be honored, and the short films created during the \u201cOcchi sul Lago\u201d<\/em> artist-in-residence program will be screened.<\/p>\n

Expected guests include Paolo Virz\u00ec, Manuel Agnelli, Margherita Spampinato, Gianni Canova, and Bruno Bozzetto<\/strong>. Journalist Marta Perego<\/strong> will host the evening. <\/p>\n
